Penting Gak Sih Ikut PPSMB?

        Hai…. Apa kabar??? Sudah lama rasanya tak mengunjungi blog saya ini, mungkin sudah pada lupa dengan saya? Oke perkenalan lagi aja ya,, nama saya Amirul Nizam dan saya sudah menjadi mahasiswa baru Teknik Kimia UGM loh…. Kece bukan???? Haha. Yah, sekarang saya mau bercerita sedikit mengenai PPSMB, ada yang tahu apa itu?

        Oke, from scratch, seperti pada umumnya setiap masa awal kita menginjak ke strata yang lebih tinggi bakal ada kegiatan yang namanya orientasi, dulu masuk SMP dan masuk SMA ada kan? Kasihan kalau gak ada, hehe.Mungkin kita lebih mengenal istilah ospek untuk menyebut hal tersebut pada tingkat universitas, Lah PPSMB ini adalah kegiatan orientasi yang wajib diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa baru UGM tanpa terkecuali, owh iya saya lupa PPSMB itu kependekan dari Pelatihan Pembelajar Sukses Mahasiswa Baru.

        Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk membangun mahasiswa UGM yang utuh dan memiliki karakter yang berkualitas, manusiawi dan bermartabat, tujuannya bagus kan? Caranya juga bakal bagus kok, Tak perlu khawatir, dalam PPSMB tidak ada perploncoan kok, bullying juga tidak ada semua kegiatan pasti bermanfaat bagi kita.

        Kenapa sih PPSMB  menjadi sangat penting? Hal pertama yang bakal kamu dapatkan adalah teman yang banyak pastinya, dalam PPSMB nanti kamu bakal ketemu semua maba UGM, gak cuma yang sejurusan aja, lumayan kan buat TP TP sama dikit-dikit ngecengin anak, haha, pastinya dengan teman yang beragam kita akan mendapat banyak keuntungan, yang kedua adalah materi yang diajarkan saat PPSMB bakal sangat berguna bagi studi kita selama 4 tahun kedepan begitu juga dengan segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan kampus, fakultas, mahasiswa, dll bakal dibedah disana, dari mana lagi kita dapat materi-materi dan informasi semacam itu kalau gak dari PPSMB, yang ketiga PPSMB UGM itu keren, gak kayak ospek yang lainnanti bakalan ada parade pelangi nusantara seperti 2 tahun yang lalu yang bahkan memecahkan rekor menari sajojo dengan peserta terbanyak dan mendapat penghargaan dari MURI, pasti pengen kan jadi bagian dari event besar?, yang terakhir sertifikat PPSMB menjadi syarat untuk wisuda, yudisium ataupun mengajukan beasiswa, jadinya mau gimana yaa….. mau gak lulus? Ups. So gak usah kebayang susahnya, just enjoy dan rasakan hebatnya PPSMB!

Building Future Path

As the sun was rising above the distant horizon, New Year is coming bringing new page of life, and now is the best time for us to make new resolution to make a better life. Most of us struggling on how we can achieve more than the other person achieve, how we can be better than the other people but we forget that the real movement is when ourselves today is better than yesterday, that thing has made us become an over-ambitious person and treat everyone around us as our enemy that we have to beat to take the first place. It will be different if our principle is today must be better than yesterday because from there the parameter is from our own self so we will compete with our own self and do not make a competition with everyone around us.

Just like this time, 2013 have just come bringing 365 days that we have to pass it whether we use it wisely or not, effectively or not we are free to choose however we will use it. This is a new starting point with spotless track in front that’s why we have to collect as many as energy and materials that needed to make us have more power to fight any problem that come to us during our journey, but you may not forget about one thing that is very important that’s the destination and targets of your journey in this year, you have to know it clearly to make your way shorten just like what we learn from seven habits.

Talking about this in this beginning of year I stick some resolution on my head as a remembrance on this promise some of them are:

a.       Be more health and conscious, as a student on a very busy school getting sick seems something that prohibited because of the lesson that running so fast just like a jet car on a highway, many other duty also that I have to do and I’ll do it by  control my diet, take enough rest and have exercise.

b.      Academics, that thing is an important thing because study is an obligation for each person and as a student the main objective also study, in this new year I want to become a good student that submit task punctually, always listen and respect the teacher, study harder to can understand more and get a satisfactory mark.

c.      Related to money, the important thing here is I have to be able to manage my money wisely, I myself may not too much bother my parents that’s why I have to make budget, determine which one is need which one is want so I know which one that have to become the priority.

d.      Social relation, in this year I want to have more time to be spent with my family and my friends, I have to increase my caring to them also. I hope I can have more friends and closer rather than now.

e.       And the last thing that will be very difficult is keep my resolution, I am sure that easier for us to make the resolution rather than do that resolution, here I ask your help to remind me if I forget about my own resolution, and my key is I will try to love everything that I will do although it will be hard  or full of risk because something that in front of us someday we will pass it, yah! just love it all because by love everything will be easier and  also will be easier for us to be sincere doing it.

2012 Footstep And 2013 Hope

A very big thing has changed this morning, something that seem meaningless for some people but it can be a very big thing for the other people, i am sure about it because i believe that more than a billion people was waiting for this great moment this night and allow their sleeping hours cut and replaced by gather in the many places that held celebration to waiting that change. Yes, my tight sleep this night brought me to a new era, 2012 has gone and now i'm placing my body on a new year 2013, a spotless year that must be fulfilled with a good thing and minimize the sum of sin and mistake.

So much memory fulfilled my mind during 2012 both good and bad, joy and tears and etc. And those thing has packaged nicely as a great memory on my life journey and i am very thankful of it. Talking about new year remind me on my resolution that i made last year ago, at that time i was thinking how is a good person and how should i behave to be that kind of person. When i was child my teacher said that we have to become a useful person for our religion and our country but as i remember he never said to me how is the detail someone that called useful for their religion and country, how can i be if i don't know the detail?

Then  i try to describe it based on my own knowledge and willingness and make it as my guidance to be the real of me, how is it then? A great man are dare to make decision and brave to take the consequence, will be asked when he is away and will be needed  wherever he is, dare to dream high and be able to make that dream come true and get up on every fail that he done, that is the person that i wanna be, the person that i imagine, the person that i am waiting for. but the question is have i become someone like that? But unfortunately the answer is still NO, i admit that it is very hard to be that kind of man but i am sure that i am not too far away from that track and i am still working, progressing and struggling to be that kind of man.

And in this new year i promise that i will work harder, i will learn as many as i can, as an experience for my future and the other important thing is i will try to make every person beside of me proud of me and the last thing is can be useful for my surrounding.

EDUCATION?

This utopian suddenly approached and match with the topics raised in the blog project this month, but not as blind as ambition of politicians to seize the seat of authority, nor want to be rich, famous, etc. I'm not a great person, I'm just ordinary student that can only  comment on education in this country.

If I were the minister of education, of course, I will be very proud and parents in the village would have cried with joy because they have successfully deliver their children to be success, and also my teachers would be proud also to have succeeded in educating their students to be ministers, and probably my friends, relatives, neighbors and other family also do the same.

But behind the pride and joy a very heavy burden stay on my shoulder. As a minister who manages education as the basic need of human, I'm dealing with the expensive cost of education amid cheapness income. This heart is so sad to hear stories of parents that can not send their children for education because of the tuition is too high. I already chose to be a education minister, and it is my right to make education policy. Although my conscience says "make a policy is more difficult than just spending money from the pockets". My first dream is free tuition schools, then I will subsidize all of education tuition at all levels, from elementary to university. So all of state school prohibited to receive any money from the students.

Loh, now government have had a free school program right, with BOS 20% of APBN? If it is free why there are many complaints from the public because of the cost of education? But I think free schools policy is only  a lips service government.

20% of the APBN is a very big amount, but why do we still have many decrepit schools to collapse? Many schools also do not have a good proportion between teacher and students, as well as many schools do not have textbooks, or even a library and tools for teach. does the budget  not distributed in right place? And again I just imagine it because I'm not a reporter who has instincts investigation.

From scratch I agree on a national standardized test, but on the other hand I feel just like killing the students if decides the students stupid or not. Then I will erase the criteria for graduated with a good mark in UN.  Just let the students selected naturally at the later stage, it can be it the selection of higher education and the job market, and I think those selection are the best describes the capacity of the intelligence of the students.

At the end of my 5 years, I will be very happy many awards and achievements come to show how great Indonesia. Papua student get gold medal in the international physics olympiad In the mass media informed that Five Indoneian universities perched on top 100 world's best universities. I just can say Amazing. When I come to any university there are some foreign students studying there. This is incredible, I thought, proving international recognition for universities in Indonesia. Recently I was invited to United Nations Building for receiving the coronation of Indonesia as the center of education in Asia by UNICEF. I believe that all of indonesian will be proud of it

because of too excited I forgot that now is 12 o'clock p.m and its time to sleep because tomorrow I will have exam. Just hope that this dream can come true someday.
